Our LOG range by ALT DESIGN collection is inspired by woodworking techniques and, more particularly, by the construction of mountain chalets whose walls are assembled from logs. The curved part of each tile echoes wood-turning techniques, used to achieve curved shapes, while the ends evoke the mitre cuts often used for assembly purposes or the oblique cut that is made to fell a tree so that it falls in the right direction. Because wood is a living, tactile material, we wanted to give the collection an uneven grooved texture reminiscent of the bark of a tree.
